Our dream of another big trip came true

With Luca's birth we wanted to settle down somewhere in the near future. This was our last chance to realize our old dream of travelling the world.
We planned to travel northern America (USA, Canada and Alaska) and afterwards Australia and New Zealand. On each continent we had 6 months time.

Northern America

On the 30th of April 2004 we flew to Los Angeles where we stayed for a while with Gisela (a relative of Natasha). Soon after we got our rented camper and our tour started.
We headed up north more or less along the west coast to Alaska, to be there in the good season.

Our way down south lead us through the centre of Canada back into the USA.

In mid September we gave back the camper and flew on from Los Angeles to Australia.

Australia

Our flight from LA took us to Melbourne where Oli and Irma with family live. There again we got ourselves a 4WD in which we could cook, eat and sleep.

What we wanted to see was the western part of Australia, the Outback and the northern part. We planned to drive through the Outback where we surely needed our 4-wheel-drive.

X-mas 2004 we spent together with Oli, Irma, Gita and Tiana. Gereon, Popeye with family and others were there too.

After 6 months in Australia we went to New Zealand, where we spent about one month.
